After seeing the band dominate at Lymelight 2014, I fell a little bit in love with In The Cards. Their brand of melodic metal flirting alt-rock went down a treat and blew me away, and since then I’ve been eagerly awaiting a reason to write about them. After ending on a high note last night, Lymelight Festival plodded to a start with the disappointing folk sounds of Rain. Things picked up slightly with Holly Pender, whose gentle acoustic sound gathered the first audience of the day and made up for the less-than-satisfying start to the day.
