Live billings are a very tricky thing. You don’t want to have everybody in a very close-fitting genre, because it runs the risk of feeling like you’re at a Status Quo gig and everything melding into one cohesive sound. Moral Panics are a fantastic indie-rock band with a sound that will brighten up an dull day (which is just as well, because the band are based in the grey reaches of Stoke-on-Trent). The final day of Newcastle-under-Lyme’s Lymelight Festival 2014 brought with it a mixed bag of performances. After ending on a high note last night, Lymelight Festival plodded to a start with the disappointing folk sounds of Rain.
