Cherry Shoes – ‘Ride On’

24/09/2015 by Tom Roden

An unspoken promise unfulfilled It’s no secret that I’m a huge fan of great lyricists and the lyrical value of every track I listen to. My belief is if you’re creating a track with any sort of vocal element, it better be a damn good vocal in terms of both sound and content. Anything less and you may as well just release an instrumental track. So Cherry Shoes’ latest track ‘Ride On’ upsets me a little bit.

Orange Vision – ‘Dark Around The Eyes’ Review

28/07/2015 by Tom Roden

A new benchmark in Nugaze For fans of: The Horrors; The Cure; Pulp Orange Vision’s latest track is the type of shoegaze that, despite all that has been said, is highly enjoyable. It’s another exception to the ‘death of shoegaze, killed by shoegaze’ rule I laid out a while ago. But I’ll still firmly stick to my opinion.
