22/08/2014 by Tom Roden

Pin Tweaks are a mysterious new alt-pop band that very nearly passed us by entirely. We only caught wind of the band and their first released track ‘Girl On The Wire’ through their buddies Fé, and we’re infinitely grateful for that! ‘Girl On The Wire’ is the kind of seductive alt-pop that Arctic Monkeys brought to the forefront of mainstream with ‘AM’, but this is punctuated with psychedelic-tinged vocal repetitions instead of overdriven guitars. A charming pop-rock track that engulfs the listener in a sense of euphoria, ‘She Came’ is a wonderfully atmospheric track that I urge you all to listen to. With a lead guitar that heavily borrows from classic rock riffs hanging in the back of instrumentation that is straight out of the pop-rock genre, the song is a love song with lyrics that are […]
