Nothing But Thieves are back with ‘If I Get High’, an earth-shaking alt-rock-pop stomper that is a masterclass in dynamic shifts. The video, to our disappointment, doesn’t make any real explicit drug references despite the song title. I guess it’d be too easy to predict. Instead, the band went with something nearly as addictive: footage of the band performing live, gracing stages both small and large. This handily reflects the strength and size of the sound the song’s running with at […]

Nothing But Thieves have dropped the new video for their latest single ‘Trip Switch’. In keeping with the run of their last singles, ‘Trip Switch’ is a fantastic balance between melodic vocals and the crunchy abrasion of instrumentation. It’s also infectious, so the band seem to be onto another winner with it. As usual, it’s Radiohead with testosterone. The video is a confusingly dramatic one, which you can watch below.

If you’ve ever lay in bed late in night wondering who would win in a fight between a band of thieves and a group of latex-clad individuals (come on, who hasn’t?), then we may have something of an answer for you. Nothing But Thieves have just dropped the video for their visceral new single ‘Ban All The Music’, an abrasive alt-rock guitarfest. And the video itself shows the band initially in an outfit-matching exaggerated performance that would make Thom Yorke […]

Anybody who has ever doubted the vocal abilities of Nothing But Thieves frontman Conor Mason will be put well in their place on new track ‘Tempt You (Evocatio)’; a vocal-led masterpiece of hauntingly rich emotion. ‘Tempt You’ plays out a slow pace, with the centrepiece of the track being the emotively majestic vocalwork. The instrumentation is all simple, while Mason’s falsetto is hauntingly rich in emotion and feeling, and it’s got all the makings of a track that could spiral […]

Nothing But Thieves’ latest track ‘Wake Up Call’ is one we’ve praised since we first heard it, describing it as ‘Keane with cojones’. And now, at last, it has a proper music video and not just a video that premieres the track! The video is a rich, dramatic and confusingly epic. It plays out like scenes from a high-budget film, but one that doesn’t add a layer of depth and meaning to the song. The song itself serves just as […]

Nothing But Thieves just get better with every track. With ‘Wake Up Call’ not only do Nothing But Thieves establish themselves as a band capable of producing top-quality tracks, but one that are at the forefront of the new alternative scene. ‘Wake Up Call’ leads in with the crunchy guitar chops of an alternative classic, so you get the sense of what we’re in for right away. From there the song follows the formulaic structure of a hit, with a […]
