Our favourite country-folkster Little Lapin is set to return in April 2016, following up last year’s successful album Remember The Highs with a new release. To tease it, Lapin is set to release new single Californian Sun — a storming track of Americana glory.

It’s a fascinating return to see the band come back with a sound that charges in and wastes no time. There is no room for lilting sounds or gentleness — Californian Sun is unrelenting in its march forward, with the intricacies of the guitars and the wonderful vocal melodies simply colouring the progression. No details dare to detract from the push forward. This is urgent, persistant and brilliant. As return singles go, Little Lapin couldn’t ask for a better one. Any fan of country, folk-rock and/or americana should wrap their ears around this when it’s out (or the exclusive teaser below).
