‘My Love’ is a great piece of emotionally-charged urban poetry from Benin City. Highly personal and dramatic, it’s less a song than a piece of poetry set to a powerful soundscape. It’s a great track, and the video accentuates the gritty urban aspect of the poetics – as well as the flurry of differing emotions and ideas that the track expresses and the artists believe make up the foundation of love. Ooh, arty.
