Shy Girls go to town on PREP hit.
About a year ago, soul outfit PREP dropped its debut EP Futures and establish itself as one to watch in the soul/R&B arena. Standing out among the tracks on this EP was Sunburnt Through The Glass, a track packed with infectious melodies and smooth rhythms.
It’s fitting then that the outfit is coming back to the fore of the scene by sharing remixes of that track. In particular, Shy Girls has crafted a lo-fi, experimentally electronic reworking of the track that feels quite far removed from the original. Balancing out the soulful melodies with cold electronic instrumentation, fizzling synthlines and repeated samples, the remix is just as infectious and unique as the original but with an entirely different flavour.
