Norwegian popstar drops massive new single.

 

It’s not very often you’ll find an artist that achieves critical acclaim ahead of even dropping one EP, but Sigrid is certainly a rarity. In fact, with her new music video for Don’t Kill My Vibe, the artist is even drawing a lot of comparisons to the pop dominator that is Sia.

Musically, the comparison is pretty justified. Don’t Kill My Vibe packs a powerful punch in every pre-chorus musical drop and the chorus itself is a gloriously ascending moment of singalong brilliance. Yet even the video channels the Sia feeling, with the majority of it simply featuring Sigrid dancing on a reflective stage in front of a coloured sheet. There’s occasionally lit up stages, but for the most part Sigrid is the main focus and the only thing that needs to be seen and heard. Quite fitting for an artist making waves before making full-length releases.
