Floor Staff gets weird in new music video for Saviour.
Those with a nervous disposition, look away now: Floor Staff has dropped a new music video for recent single Saviour, and it’s not for the faint of heart.
The song itself is pretty unassuming. It’s an Elbow-esque track that is characterised by a primary focus on melody and harmonies, which are carried across on a restless drum beat. But the video is where things become far from ordinary, seemingly taking inspiration from cult internet videos such as Don’t Hug Me I’m Scared. The video brings together surprise gore with the oddly incestuous story of a reluctantly dom mother and her sub son, which culminates in the son surrendering his bodily fluids – both blood and a white liquid we don’t want to think about – into a drink that he consumes. Weird and horrifically uncomfortable.
