Krychek meets keys in sombre single we never thought we’d hear.

 

When SIGNAL first appeared on our radar with previous single Mountain Beach, it was immediately obvious that this project was one that caught electrorock artist Krychek at his most tender. Yet despite that, there was no anticipating the sombre tenderness of latest single Still Right Here.

Led by keys and surrounded by ambient treble-inclined synthwork, the single swells into emotional territory that has previously been untraversed by Krychek. His distinctively deep and solid vocal doesn’t melt into a pool of emotion though, instead remaining a firm fixture against fragile harmonies and melodies – bringing vulnerability into his sturdily masculine voice. It’s an unusual shift, but it works wonderfully well. With a SIGNAL EP in the works, we can only imagine how that will compare.
