Hear electropopstar’s new single here first.

 

It’s been a little while since we last heard from Nicky Venus, but fortunately for us the electropop maestro has returned with his newest single Run – and you can hear it below ahead of its official release on May 20.

Channeling the same 80s feel in the synths that the Little Runner EP had, the new single keeps the same sense of urgency that made Venus’ previous release so interesting. It’s refreshing to find a musician like Venus who persists with the sound they’ve established and develops it gradually instead of just hopping to a new approach. That said, Run is a clear distinction from what we’ve heard before.
