Harrumph! kill it on debut single

When does a violin not sound like a violin?

If the name of both the artist and song wasn’t a giveaway, Harrumph!‘s debut single I’m A Violin is gloriously unusual and experimental.

It’s a uniquely bizarre blend of deep house and bass house, with a violin melody that strikes against the electronic backdrops for an organic hook that never fails to capture interest. Using slightly contrasting instruments atop one another is a time-tested method of captivating listeners, and Harrumph! understands this.

I’m A Violin could be a bit of an acquired musical taste, but those who enjoy it will really enjoy it.
