Over the last year we’ve grown massively. Now we need new music journalists to keep the content flowing.
This site, from the tiny amateurish beginnings, has always been a labour of love. Over the last year, the emphasis has most definitely been on the labour part. In making sure that as much new music as possible is given the platform it deserves, our content has kept evolving.
From interactive gigmaps to band advice, the mixcloud show to video features, a lot of new creative content features have started in the last year. As a result, we’ve seen a huge increase in traffic and attention. And it’s not just us seeing it either: the artists we cover are seeing it too.
To keep up with the growth and to continue to assure high quality music journalism, we’re now looking to get some new writers on board. People who breathe the passion for music so much that they can’t get enough; writers with the patience and determination to find the hottest new acts that are lurking under the radar.
We can’t offer pay, but we can offer something just as valuable to aspiring journalists: a byline and experience. And all the new music you can handle, from advanced downloads of albums to free entry to live shows.
If this sounds right for you, don’t hesitate to get in touch. Send an email with ‘Writing for Fresh Beats’ in the subject line to firstname.lastname@example.org. Feel free to attach an example of your writing too, to speed up the process.
You never know what you might discover, or who might discover you.
