Fickle Friends – ‘For You’ Review

There’s something naturally infectious about New Wave-inspired synthpop. Fickle Friends’ new track ‘For You’ is no exception to this, being a track that worms its way into your mind with its catchy vocal melodies and mix of bubbling synths with jangly guitars.

It’s an easy track to get immersed and lost in. Not only is the instrumentation perfectly hypnotic, a beautiful blend of understated basslines and synth hooks and unmissable guitar parts, but the vocals are versatile and powerful. Whether confidently calling out the chorus vocal hook or delivering the breathy bridge, Natassja Shiner’s vocals are undeniably powerful and glorious enough to remain in your head above all else.

It’s hook-heavy and ready to be the soundtrack to your weekend, and it’s also available to stream right underneath this sentence. And above all else, it makes us take back the Lily Allen comparison we made some time ago!
