Not enough rap-metal music exists. Some might argue that that is a very good thing, but to those people I point you in the direction of Cyphar. Particularly on new track ‘Mayhem’, it’s impossible to deny how great the sound is. It’s nice to hear a rap-metal band that combines the two genres and sticks closer to the rap roots than washing over into Nu-Metal. Nobody wants more Nu-Metal. Nobody.

But we do want more like ‘Mayhem’, and much more from Cyphar. Aside from Hyro Da Hero, who else is actually creating music like this?

The video to ‘Mayhem’ details a performance by the band, cut with shots of a night out and a lot of alcohol consumption. So I guess you probably shouldn’t watch if you’re against that sort of thing? For the rest of us, the video is below.
