Kastella – ‘Rota Hell’ Review

It’s a musical rush of blood to the head and without a doubt their strongest track to date: Midlands alt-rockers Kastella are back with new track ‘Rota Hell’, and it’s pretty brilliant.

There is no messing around with this track. It comes straight in with feedback before detonating into an infectious guitar riff that will make you dance while it melts your face off. And the guitar is consistently brilliant throughout, leading the song with a series of epic hooks that will worm their way into your head and stay there for days. Who said guitar music is dead?

But of course, no amount of guitar makes a track all by itself. The drums are vicious, the vocals are coated in attitude and swagger, and the bass line is complimentary perfection. The track is well-crafted, well-mixed and it helps to restore a lot of faith in guitar music.

If you’re a fan of indie/alternative, you’ll want to get listening to this track. This could be the start of something special.
