Young & Sick drops eccentic, blissed out electronic single.

 

With a title like Letting Go of Giving Up, you pretty much go into Young & Sick‘s latest single knowing full well you’re going to get hit with a dose of self-empowering, feelgood vibes. And unsurprisingly, that’s exactly what you get – though not necessarily in the way you’d expect.

The single is a quasi-experimental, eccentric take on modern electronic, giving a chilled out atmosphere to an almost EDM structure and lyrics of positive inspiration. Describing the track, Nick van Hofwegen – the mind behind Young & Sick – notes its inspirational undertone as a personal reminder “to not give up hope on making music and making art, even though there’s low points and it gets a little harder.”
