Norwegian artist’s collab is bittersweet and emotionally stirring.
We are a little transfixed by the new collaboration that has just landed through Scandinavian independent label Sailor Music. Brought to our ears by pop songstress Hanne Mjøen and Jimi Somewhere, Fall Down will tug on the heartstrings.
This electro-pop cut has odes to romanticised 80s ballads with its analogue synths and slow-burning chords. Both Mjøen and fellow Norwegian Jimi Somewhere provide their complementary vocals to the track, and they are delivered with a deeply soulful vibe, rolling over the top of its pattering bassline and bittersweet key changes.
Both artists who are making waves with their music, look out for more from both of them this year. For now, listen to Fall Down and enjoy.
