Four-piece goes indie-jazz on new single.
There’s a lot of standardisation in the indie scene. When something seems to strike the right chord with audiences, it’ll explode and very quickly become another trope. Any sound that offers something unique will soon find itself mimicked and replicated. It’s been this way for about three decades now, so it’s increasingly difficult to offer anything truly unique.
But that doesn’t stop bands trying and that leads us, thankfully, to CHILDCARE and its new single Put Down Your Pen. The band’s latest offering is packed with indie instrumentation set to jazz stylings, turning the song into an unpredictable, pulsating amalgamate of expression and artistry that inexplicably manages to maintain a pop level of coherency.
