Outfit drops a fresh slice of summery indie-wave.

Sleek indie-electropop band Matto Rules is back with the pulsating new single Dive, a track seemingly competing with itself to make an indie club hit. The single pits a staccato-heavy lead riff against a minimalist drumbeat backbone, both of which are danceably contagious but competing with each other for dominance.

“Dive refers to the state of mind between sleep and being awake, when you walk through the door of subconsciousness into the dream world,” explains frontman Lorenzo Bonati. “Diving is a strong symbol in dream interpretation and has various meanings and implications. This is combined with the song’s lyrics about a story of struggle, insight, and finally leaving it all behind – to dive into the unknown”.
