Listen// Finding garage rock Nirvana

Black Pudding finds the garage rock sweet spot on new single.

There’s a sweetspot in garage rock that lies somewhere between listless radio-pandering rock and brutal, eardrum-bruising noise rock. Finding that sweet spot is easier said than done, but Black Pudding has done just that with its new single.

Striking a perfect balance between the two extremes, Sci-Fi Si offers up a sound reminiscent of early days Nirvana. From rumbling bass lines and frenzied muted guitar tones to an explosive chorus lift and an ever-present sense of volatility and intensity, the track hits all the marks of garage rock excellence.

While the vocals feel oddly muted in the mix, Black Pudding shows it has the potential to be widely revered in the scene as soon as next year.
