Premiere// Rainer + Grimm – Tempted

Rainer + Grimm channel the Toronto sound on new single.

Hearing the phrase “Toronto sound” generally brings hazy R&B to mind, a genre that Rainer + Grimm are no stranger to as they produced The Weeknd’s breakout hit Wicked Games alongside Drake’s Shot For Me, not to mention Grimm was assistant engineer to Noah “40” Shabib on Drake’s GRAMMY award-winning Nothing Was The Same.

That being said, the Toronto duo has begun to flip the hometown sound it helped to innovate into a potent blend of house and R&B. Their new single, Tempted, finds that vision crystallized as Beach Season delivers sultry vocals atop a shadowy electronic groove.

Outside of Toronto’s city limits, Rainer + Grimm have a slew of accolades under their belt, including official remixes for Sam Smith and Jessie Ware, performances everywhere from Digital Dreams to Splash House, and over 25 million streams to date. The duo also recently founded Bleeding Hearts Club, a banner under which all of their content will be housed moving forward.
