A psychedelic journey narrated by deep house.
When a sound designer and producer designs to drop a music video to accompany their recent single, you know it’s always going to be a little unusual. And Danya Vodovoz does not disappoint, with Horizon offering a trippy journey into a deep house high.
Horizon is the newest release from Danya Vodovoz’s forthcoming album, Motion Machine, based on five watercolor paintings by Russian artist Arsen Nasibulin. Oscillating imagery activates this psychedelic journey, but rhythmic synths, bass-driven percussive grooves and atmospheric chords maintain the intensity.
Of the video, Vodovoz states: “Horizon develops into cogwheels that move in various directions until they are assembled into a mandala-like structure and ultimately become more abstract. The radiantly animated visuals dance with each other and offer their own interpretation of the distinct horizons of the personality.”
