New single from Kalandra is utterly stunning.

 

It’s been a few years since we last heard from our favourite Nordic artist and arguably the best voice in pop, Kalandra. Fortunately, she’s back with a phenomenal new folk-pop single and raring to demonstrate her stunning vocals after all this time.

What Do You Know About Love? is the first hint of glorious goods from Kalandra’s upcoming EP, entitled Beneath The Breaking Waves. As a taste whetter, it is flawless. Building on the atmospheric sense of grandeur that previous single’s possessed, this latest offering sees Kalandra delivering a ballad of unrequited love packed with passion, heartache and melodies that spread like mist. It’s everything that Kalandra has proven she does exceedingly well, but still manages to exceed the high standards she set previously. It also features a closing refrain that dips back into her native Nordic tongue, which perfectly fits with the ethereal world vibe of the track.

If this is anything to go by, the EP will break hearts and send chills when it arrives.
