Minimal music, maximum enjoyment.

 

Maestro of electronic minimalism Ryan Vail has released the music video for new track Wounds.

True to the title I’ve just gifted Vail, Wounds is a bubbling pit of minimalism. It consists of a sole rhythm line (which sounds oddly like someone knocking a pen off a tin can) which underpins a space-age electronic loop and deep, restrained vocals. There are the odd splatterings of other instruments, but these are few and far between. Even the video is light on embellishments, following the lead of the song and being more about an atmosphere and mood than anything else.
