The Christians release the stirring video for their politically charged single Rise
We’ve already shared our love for The Christians‘ latest track Rise. Luckily, we’ve got the privilege of being able to twice as they’ve just dropped the music video for it.
It’s no secret that the track was born of the political feeling emerging in British politics at the moment. So it’d be foolishness if the band missed the opportunity to further the political relevance of the single. Naturally, The Christians continue to make their music have a substantial impact rather than to fade into a meaningless vacuum.
The timely video focuses on the refugee crisis which has come about as a result of mindless western military exercises and intervention in Syria and surrounding regions displacing millions is ravaging our world at the moment. But rather than it feeling like a cheap moral cash in, The Christians seem to have partnered with the British Red Cross for this. Plus it perfectly fits the music, redefining an already uplifting song into a rousing rally for the darkening times.
