Video: Moral Panics – ‘Mammoths’

Moz Paz’s ‘Mammoths’ blends performance and art under guitar duality.

2Moral Panics have a talent for making raw-sounding indie tracks with just enough polish to have pop melodies without sacrificing any of their primal appeal.

Nowhere is that more obvious than ‘Mammoths’, a song characterised by the dualities of indie and alternative guitar sounds. On one side we get the raw alternative crunch, and the other we get the indie chimes – panned seperately to avoid confusion.

The video takes the straightforward approach of mainly featuring the band performing in a outdoor suburbia backdrop, but has a few cuts that add a contrasting perspective to the video. Oh, and if you get a bit grossed out by vital organs you might want to give it a miss – there’s a little bit of literal heart in hand stuff that goes down.
