With a celestial cool sound, both instrumentally and vocally, and a colourfully artistic video to accompany it, Tropics’ ‘Blame’ is a great track to get you over that midweek slump.
The smooth vocals of Tropics, also known as Chris Ward, slide over the top of dreamy electronica that sets a sort of chilled out but reflectively sad vibe. It’s following that sort of feel that he set out with ‘Rapture’, and the video captures the mood of regretful lethargy.
And obviously the best way to capture this artistically is to break shit and pour paint everywhere in a dull industrial space until you become a (wo)manvas. It’s a cathartic sort of chaos swirling around.
