This week, Alternative-Rock outfit Dive Exit performed an exclusive acoustic rendition of their song ‘Diamonds Like Bricks’ for me. The rendition was stunningly beautiful and, if you’ve never listened to the band before, this will provide a perfect starting point.

Their demo version of the track (which you can listen to here) is also beautiful, but this version stands out because of its wondrous acoustic instrumentation. The band themselves noted that it was a “fun challenge” to create an acoustic arrangement of the song. But I can most definitely say it was worth it!

The track itself bears subtle similarities to parts of ‘Light And Day’ by The Polyphonic Spree, but with much more of an alternate-rock vibe to it. To put it simply: a gentle song that builds with atmospheric harmonies and increasingly-powerful instrumentation.
