Listen// sumthin sumthin is punchy as ever with Confused

Sumthin Sumthin might be onto something big, judging by the latest single.

The guys at Quality Goods Records have just released another killer single from sumthin sumthin, and it’s a serious contender for track of the year (so far).

Confused, featuring JAWNZA, is a attack on the senses from the start, and it packs astonishing energy with its jarring bass and frenetic shards of melody. A hazy, almost dream-like, warped introduction is peppered with darting pops of tune, before a distant drum beat becomes to up the tempo and intensity. It paves the way for those muddy bass stabs and ricocheting reverbs – with JAWNZA’s intermittent bars jutting in and out, catching you off-guard.

There is something tangible yet erratic about sumthin sumthin’s style of production, highlighted in both this and his previous sound Mirrors, which dropped just a couple of months ago.
