Indie-folk artist revisits his childhood for debut single’s video.
The indie genre prides itself on emotional tracks and introspective lyricism. In fact, it’s almost become one of the scene’s biggest selling points and has remained that way for more than three decades.
So to say that Boy Bjorn‘s latest single and music video, Anchorage, can be counted amongst the most personal releases we’ve heard in recent years speaks volumes. While debut singles are something of an intimate thing in and of themselves, Anchorage goes one step beyond by featuring a music video consisting of home videos from Boy Bjorn’s childhood. It’s as if we’ve stepped into the artist’s life and are experiencing the growth of one of indie’s newest gems.
