Psychedelia is a genre that has been under-represented in the last few years. Once the shoegaze bubble of 2012-2014 burst, the genre seemingly faded from indie attention.

Fortunately, we have GRDNS to remind us what we’re missing out on, and new single Roulette Love Gun is a perfect example. Loaded with intricate, soaring guitar lines and hazy, atmospheric vocals, the quartet’s latest reverb-laden offering is exactly what we need to help brace us for the long hazy nights of summer. Even better, GRDNS show that a well-executed guitar solo is – even in 2018 – a welcome addition to any song that can really take an atmospheric single to the next level.
