Electronic duo Junge Junge has been racking up an impressive run of singles. The last few (Run Run Run and Beautiful Girl) have been well received and, as such, new single I’m The One is an understandable make or break moment for the outfit.
Fortunately, the band pulls it off. Taking a similar sort of acoustic-led tact as they did on Run Run Run, the duo makes the track an atmospheric cruise through texture and emotion. Complete with warm, enticing, synth-fueled melodies, methodical percussion and serene vocal work, I’m The One confirms the German duo’s impressive attention to detail and effortless songwriting ability.
