Listen// Elohim returns with erratic electropop

New single sums up the artist’s unique take on electropop.

Elohim has always had a very particular approach to crafting music. While her songs all have a strong undercurrent of pop appeal and a typical electropop feel, there is always something unconventional and strange about them.

New single The Wave is probably the best example of this to date. Abruptly cutting its own intro melody short to introduce the verses, the track blurs electropop excellence with a feeling that Elohim is toying with listeners for three minutes.

The shimmering synths and crystalline vocals are comparable to CHVRCHES, but with an edginess to it and a penchant for drops that makes it uniquely Elohim.
