BIRTHDAY’s first single is an indie chillfest.

 

Chill is in right now. Every artist and band seems to want to nail that chilled out, high-without-the-drugs feel in its music but few manage to really capture the vibe. BIRTHDAY, however, has proven capable of doing so in We Need To Talk, the band’s debut single.

Bringing together fuzzily reverberated guitars with echo-laden vocals and loose drum rhythms, the musical components themselves aren’t anything out of the ordinary. But BIRTHDAY seem to just have a natural gift for composition that allows these staple indie ingredients to create a spaced out wall of sound that makes for three minutes of engulfing indie goodness.
