Indie-pop outfit’s new single is the perfect groundwork for new album.
It’s been one heck of a long time since Still Parade last graced our site. The last this site properly heard of them was 2013’s Health, which means that new single Chamber is well overdue to bless our ears with musical goodness.
The song is beautifully bizarre, taking all the good stuff of pop and putting it into a blender with some vintage-feel indie. It’s a bit of an unusual but deeply enjoyable soundscape, with vocals that harmoniously patter in and out of melodies. Underneath all this, a creeping bass groove keeps everything grounded and pushing forward through the cascading higher note instrumentation. It’s a wonderful return and, more than that, a perfect way to lay the groundwork for the upcoming album, Concrete Vision.
