New video is minimalistic and vulnerable.

 

Electropop siren Foxtrott has just released the video for a new, stripped-back version of her track Brother – taken from her A Taller Us album which dropped last year.

This version of the track is world apart from the original, reduced to just an organ and a vocal – removing all electronic embellishment to make for a much more vulnerable and honest feeling track. It’s a moving rendition, tying a strong sense of emotion to the song that doesn’t come across as clearly in the album version. The accompanying video, shot minimalistically with silhouette, is equally brooding and open.

Foxtrott is keen to keep everything clean this time around, leaving the soul of the song laid bare for all to hear.
