Indie-rockers get hauntingly ethereal on new single Sonder.
Once a moral panic and now a ghostly alternative, indie-rocker outfit FLIIIS has just dropped its latest single Sonder.
It’s a bubbling progression of tension, with elongated guitars and elongatic vocal melodies punctuated by a constant bassline and crashing drums. It’s a little bit like Gengahr, but with a distinct rumble of angst and fury underpinning it and forcing into heavier waters. Sonder is born of a constant struggle between gentle etherealism and hard-hitting alt-rock, the result of which is a unique soundscape that makes FLIIIS feel like it has more to offer than Moral Panics did.
