If you’ve got a voice that is strong and emotive, why bury it in the mix of masses of instrumentation? Mary Desmond’s voice is spectacular, and the simple arrangement of new track ‘Invisible’ amplifies this. There’s a beautiful voice, shifting through emotional peaks atop a constant piano melody that is only occasionally built on by backing vocal lines. Other than that, it’s a straightforward track. Why risk losing the heart of the song?
The video is equally as straightforward. It’s Mary, of course, performing the song on a powder blue piano in the middle of a derelict hill area. Sadly there’s no bonus shots of the crew trying to get the piano into that area in the first place, but you can’t have everything. What you can have is a great pop track, with stunning vocals and effective keys, and the video to it below.
