There was a lot of great new acts at Reading and Leeds this past weekend, but one performance that grabbed my attention is this one from Broken Hands. I’ve caught Broken Hands live before, so I knew vaguely what to expect from the band.
And the band don’t disappoint in this performance. While the onstage antics aren’t quite as impressive as they were when they supported Howler this Spring, the vocals are still packed with as much powerful and ferocity as before. Yet despite this power, the vocals are all delivered with a subtle edge of coolness. And that’s no small feat!
Also, the intro to ‘Turbulence’ is one that might not typically be best suited to a festival sort of audience. But the band manage to make it work and it’s great to watch!
