‘Waiting’ is the first track to drop from Friends In Paris, and it is expected to feature on their upcoming debut EP. And unlike most first tracks that we come across, this track is as good as you could possibly hope for it to be.
From the opening ascending synth into the song’s instantly memorable hook, you’re paying attention. And from there, the band show us just what they’re capable of – and that is nice dynamic shifts, good melodies and songs that get everybody moving. And we mean everybody. Fans of Modestep, you’ll want to get on this as fast as possible.
There’s no real flaw to this track, it’s perfectly composed and wastes absolutely no time. It starts swiftly enough and it doesn’t overstay its welcome or become boring. It’s consistently enjoyable and it sounds great on repeat – as you’ll find out soon enough.
